What is Keyboard Ghosting?
Keyboard ghosting occurs when certain multi-key combinations fail to register because standard membrane keyboard matrices cannot isolate concurrent electrical signals. Testing your switches here confirms if your keys register simultaneously.
What is N-Key Rollover (NKRO)?
NKRO means you can press as many keys as you have fingers—or even every key on the board—and all will register cleanly. Gaming and high-speed mechanical keyboards typically feature 6KRO (minimum 6 keys) or full NKRO over USB.
Diagnosing Key Chatter
Key chatter occurs when a failing mechanical switch registers multiple rapid inputs on a single stroke. If pressing a key once causes sudden double activations, your switch leaf or optical sensor may need cleaning or replacement.
